My name is Stephen (Dr. R, as my students call me) and I’ve lived in Denver for five years. I’m originally from upstate New York and moved after after completing grad school to launch my teaching career.

This is my fifth year of teaching and my first year at Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy. I’m excited to work in a community that values not only education but inclusion and embracing our differences. As an educator I think it’s important to teach students their own unique value and the mark they make in our world.

Outside of school, I am usually nose-deep into a book, at karate or playing with the loves of my life–my two dogs, Oscar and Harper.
