KCAA has an award winning visual arts department. K-12 students have won Citywide, Congressional, Scholastic, and other notable local and national art awards.
All KCAA elementary students receive weekly visual arts classes, and learn through arts-integrated curricula at every grade level. Secondary students can choose from a wide variety of 2D, 3D, and digital media class offerings.
Students have opportunities to work with professional artists in their classes at KCAA through residency programs and partnerships with a variety of Denver arts organizations. KCAA also engages with a variety of Denver art museums and galleries to enrich our arts curriculum.
