I was born in Johnson City, TN, and grew up hiking and camping in the Appalachian Mountains. I graduated from a small liberal arts school Milligan College in 2009, with a degree in religion and philosophy. Soon after graduating from undergrad I married my wife, Jessica Gregory, who is also an elementary teacher in DPS. I worked with students in education settings with nonprofits for six years. My first daughter, Vivian, was born in 2012, and Lorelai was born in 2014. Both of my daughters attend KCAA. In 2015, my family moved to St. Louis, MO, where I taught first-grade while earning my Master’s in Education from the University of Missouri Saint Louis (UMSL). In 2017, we moved to Denver to work in DPS and to play in the Rocky Mountains.
