Rena Nagovan

Hello! I am originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  I was a student at the Milwaukee High School of the Arts as a dance major (ballet) and theatre minor.  After high school, I enrolled at UW-Oshkosh for Anthropology and Comparative Religious Studies.  I focused on Native American History and Bibilical Achaeology, and worked on archaeological sites in Wisconsin.  After doing that for awhile, I turned to teaching English and History for high school students, and enrolled at Edgewood College in Madison, WI, where I received my teacher certification in a post-baccalaureate program, along with a History and English Second Language Masters. I taught at Madison East High School in Madison, Wi. for 15 years, then moved here to Colorado! I have been with DPS for 7 years, and KCAA for 3 years and am super happy to land here as I went to an art high school myself.

I love people, dogs, gardening, dancing, and reading.  I am honored to be working at KCAA, with the best students, parents and staff imaginable.
