Ms. Carrasco is a native of Oaxaca, Mexico, and has proudly served Team DPS for 18 years. This is her ninth year at KCAA, and she absolutely loves being part of the KCAA community!
Ms. Carrasco moved from North Carolina to Colorado in 2008. She enjoys exploring the mountains, reading, taking on new challenges, and going for walks with her dog, Georgie.
Ms. Carrasco loves teaching her students not only how to read and write, but also about the rich cultures and traditions of the Latino community. She believes that learning about culture helps students better understand and appreciate the world around them.

La maestra Carrasco es originaria de Oaxaca, México, y ha trabajado para las Escuelas Públicas de Denver (DPS) durante 18 años. ¡Este es su noveno año en KCAA y le encanta ser parte de esta maravillosa comunidad!
La maestra Carrasco se mudó de Carolina del Norte a Colorado en 2008. Ella disfruta explorar las montañas, leer, aceptar nuevos retos y salir a caminar con su perro, Georgie.
A la Sra. Carrasco le encanta enseñarles a sus estudiantes no solamente a leer y escribir, sino también sobre las ricas culturas y tradiciones de la comunidad latina. Ella cree que aprender sobre diferentes culturas ayuda a los estudiantes a comprender y apreciar mejor el mundo que los rodea.
