Dear DPS Families,

If your student still needs a computer, you can pick one up on Wednesday, April 8 between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Computer pickup is now available to students in grades K-12 on a first-come, first-served basis at 12 DPS schools that we’re using for technology distribution:

  • Abraham Lincoln High School
  • Valverde Elementary School
  • Hamilton Middle School*
  • Place Bridge Academy
  • Cowell Elementary School
  • North High School
  • STRIVE Prep – Sunnyside
  • Bruce Randolph School
  • DCIS Baker
  • Manual High School
  • Evie Dennis Campus
  • Montbello Campus

* Computer pickup is no longer available at Shoemaker Elementary. Hamilton has been added as a new pickup location.

Please note: Students do not need to be present to pick up a computer; you just need to have their name and student ID number. At this time, we are not able to accept broken devices and we are not distributing computer accessories, such as chargers (no extra chargers for broken devices)

There will be additional opportunities in April to pick up a computer for students who still need them and we want to try to get technology to students as quickly as possible. If your student attends a MyTech school, please work with your school to check out a computer.

We have a limited number of internet hotspots available to families, which we are prioritizing for students in these high schools. (Please note only one hotspot is allowed per household).

We encourage families in need of internet access to explore Comcast’s Internet Essentials program that provides two free months of internet. You can find other technology supports and resources here.

If you have additional questions about accessing technology for DPS remote learning, please contact your school.
