While I am not a Colorado native, I have lived in this state for more than 20 years. I attended Colorado State University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health. Before transitioning to teaching, I worked in Health Physics and Environmental Health and Safety careers. When I decided it was time to make a career shift, I was accepted into the Denver Teacher Residency program and completed my Master’s Degree at the University of Denver. As part of the DTR program I worked at KCAA last year and shared a classroom with a mentor teacher. This year, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to have my own classroom at KCAA where I teach Biology. When I’m not at school, I’m spending time with my wife, our son who was born in March of 2016, and our now neglected dog, Callie.
