About Kunsmiller

Our mission at Kunsmiller Middle School is to enable students to become successful readers, writers, and educated students in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Kunsmiller has strong programs in the areas of music; computer technology;  foreign languages; as well as support to all students through gifted, talented, and creative activities; and physical education.

The Kunsmiller staff strives to provide life-long learning skills to students to help them become contributing citizens in a global society. In addition to an outstanding curriculum supported by high academic and behavior standards, a variety of after-school activities are provided through the Kunsmiller Beacons Neighborhood Center. Kunsmiller also supports strong middle school athletic teams which have won championships in boys' flag football, girls' basketball and girls' volleyball. Teachers sponsor a number of other learning activities, i.e., the Yearbook, Anne Frank, Living Voices, essay and poetry contests, and numerous enrichment assemblies. Finally, our staff is focused on providing a safe and secure environment in which students can learn and teachers can teach.
