AMERICORP
AmeriCorps*NCCC is a full-time, team-based residential
program for men and women age 18–24. Members live on one of four campuses,
located in Denver, Colorado; Charleston, South Carolina; The mission of AmeriCorps*NCCC is to strengthen
communities and develop leaders through direct, team-based national and
community service. In partnership with nonprofit organizations, state and local
agencies, and faith-based and other community organizations, members complete
service projects throughout the region they are assigned.
All of the AmeriCorps Members on our teams have spent
time in the Gulf helping with clean-up and repairs efforts. AmeriCorps*NCCC's
number one priority disaster relief recovery.
On November 15th, the AmeriCorps Members of Class XII
graduated after 10 months and 1700 hours of service. Kunsmiller will look
forward to the new class that starts in January and hope that we can have
another team serve at our school.
